I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2003 with a degree in political science, and from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a 2-year diploma in journalism in 2007.
Since 2004 my writing and photography have been featured in a wide variety of print and online publications. I have worked as a journalist in Canada, South Korea, India, Thailand, Burma, Kenya and Tanzania.
There is nothing better than discovering something wonderful. Something violent, or tragic, or reeking, there is nothing better than discovering a sublime beauty.
